Janani Luwum named saint by Church of England
Archbishop Janani Luwum, murdered in 1977 on the orders of President Idi Amin, was chosen as one of the 20th-century saints. A statue of Luwum was unveiled in July 1998 and stands above the western entrance to the church in Westminster Abbey, London.
