Oldest Piece of Jewellery in the World

This is the oldest piece of jewellery in the world and it was found at Lake Nitchie, here in New South Wales, Australia.

It's made from 178 Tasmanian Tigers teeth and it's 40,000 years old!

An ancient land, ancient culture.

The last remaining Thylacines...

Tasmanian Tigers were wiped out in Tasmania by farmers who accused them of killing their sheep.

It has been scientifically proven that they did not possess the jaws to kill large animals like the sheep...they were innocent victims.

The last one died in captivity in 1930

But there have been recent sightings in Tasmania and on the maybe they weren't completely wiped out after all..we can only hope... and there has been talk of cloning them.

I can't remember where it is, but a Thylacine Joey is being kept in a solution in a glass jar.
